Well before you jump into a million thigns literally.

1. Goto Bed
2. Call your host find out if you still own the domain... if not then find out the exact reason you dont... even if you already know.
3. Then figure out if you need todo anything.

And i seriosuly mean what i say because your gonna start writing emaisl and freaking out all night.

Honestly were only 90% sure at this point lol. I still think theres a minor other explanation but the big reason does happen alot.

You can't really do much of anything till tomorrow. It's just best to wait for the next possible time to work on the problems, and just do it relaxed and straight forward.

If someone does have it you do not take their initial offer bargain. Don't let them rip you off twice by paying their face value.

It opens with a bride on the beach and your name is there. So it seems to work fine for me.

The DNS name change hasn't propogated to all the servers around the world yet. This takes a couple of days. So some people will still see the original site.

No no no no and no.... lol hate to break it to you

It takes 24 to 48 hours for all DNS servers to change where the URL links to and the personal contact to update. So if its not back for atleast 48 hours its not back at all lol.

ermm.... I'd say at this point to take rainmotorsport's advice and take a xanax and go to bed. Trust me, don't click the refresh button anymore for tonight ;-)

then why would it go away and come back?

Because you might connecting to different DNS servers every time you click the 'refresh' button. I'm still seeing the squatters site.
02/01/2007 09:14:39 PM · #40
I still get the squatter site.

Yeah, me too. The whole time. It is true that it takes the servers a couple days to catch up.

each time you make a request to your website, it gets routed a different way. some of them have been updated and some of them haven't yet.

it takes a full 48 hours for all of the domain name controllers to update their databases with the new information.

actually, i think everything is fine. I did infact pay for my domain registration in a timely manner. After a couple of frantic phone calls to past and present web guys...everything is in working order.

And now i just get to relax. ;)

That is also possible and i wish it for you. My site does that when i dont pay the hsoting bill, i still own the domain and once my bill was paid eevrything went to normal. SO if your site is actually fine then yeah sucky and scary hiccup lol.
