For Bad, is it only like what humans perceive as morally bad, or can I use something that's bad for the environment?

What's the frame of reference for Bad?

Your call. Either, either, or both. :)

I'd say anything goes except bad food.

Alright, I'll go with that. I just wanted to make sure before I started snapping pictures. I got the idea of no food. lol

I am sure anything that you think is bad that you hope others can sympathize with would qualify. Some people even think that Pekinese dogs are not bad ... ROFL ...

Edit to add ... ACK! ... Then again some humans consider them food so they may not qualify anyways ?

And what are the frames of reference for 'edible' and 'human', or for that matter, 'normal'.
I'm sore afraid that the consensus may hold that normal humans consider Mc Donalds hamburgers to be edible, which sort of means that all bets are off.

so how about other uses of the word bad. "that dude is bad" "that is one bad ride" will non-American's understand?
02/03/2007 07:36:06 AM · #11
I won't hurt your average if non-Americans don't get it. In any case they probably will because that part of US culture is vigorously exported.
I confidently predict that there will be entries in 'good' with e.g christian symbols like a cross and/or national stuff like the stars and stripes. I also predict that they will not get brown ribbons.

I'm looking forward to seeing lots of "bad girl" pics.

Non-American, I can guess at the inference of "bad", only because you're asking about it here...does it mean something along the lines of (forgive the 90's ethic) "awesome"? If it came up in a title..hmmm not sure I would associate it properly.

Then I don't think that you can bank on many voters outside of America fulling appreciating your title :-)

Can we use it as would Richard Pryor would? or is this just a challenge about spinoff bands from THE CLASH?
02/06/2007 02:42:12 PM · #21
I think in this challenge if you use bad to mean good, people will think you are in the wrong challenge. lol

Actually, if there is anything edible in your image you'll get DQ.

That doesn't say "anything that is edible" it says "anything normally considered edible by humans" big difference.
