Earlier today I ran to the grocery store to come home and be greeted by a moose in my yard.
Moose are very interesting creatures and have many roles, as you can see here:
Dancing in the driveway (two-stepping)
Snow removal
Tree trimmer
Trail blazer
Model (smiling for the camera)
then she left without even saying goodbye
I wish she had been so photogenic during the Wildlife III challenge! |

Kansas sucks. LOL. The only thing in my driveway is the neighbors dog. |

Isn't that the way it always goes?
She is so pretty! I wish there was something to give her scale. she looks so huge. I never seen a moose before. |

It's great to see that you still have your camera after all the misadventure with your house lately. You should have shot a couple with wide open aperture for the shallow DOF challenge. Great images you posted, I esp like the smiley moose. It almost looks photo shopped with the perfect teeth.
Thanks for sharing, and again, it's good to see that you are still clicking away.

It's against the law to wake sleeping bear here in Alaska......a nice hefty fine for such actions |

Great shots. The last moose I saw was yesterday morning and it was dead on the side of the road. *pout* Last LIVE moose I saw was a couple weeks ago just standing on the side of the road while I went zooming by at 60mph. |

Thank you for sharing the article. At least Alaska doesn't have to worry about the moose disappearing quite yet....we have tons of them. In fact it is a legitimate reason for many to be late getting to work...."moose in my driveway wont let me out", or "moose blocking road" |

I noticed several articles in the news the last day or two on Moose in Alaska because of the heavy snow. Here's one:
Alaska's Urban Moose Adjust To Heavy Snow
- Just love this shot! Could be a cartoon with those teeth. :P |
