In the beginning it was lots of fun, to the end hard work. Next time I will start commenting on the less good images to have fun with the better ones towads the end...

Hahaha...I remember seeing that before...but it is just as funny the second time around.....loser!!!!! With a Capital 'L'!

Serious, Something funny that happened during my shoot for this challenge... I had my model laying on the ground, my foot caught a cord and one of my strobes fell over on my model. Luckily "softbox" hold up to the name :-)

Talking about feeling like a total dork. :-)

You can minimize the risk of that happening by running the cord through the stand at the base. That way if your foot catches the cord, the light stand gets pulled from the base and tends to scoot across the floor instead of toppling over. Sandbags will help too.

I'm sure I did, but had no time to comment, it hasn't been up for too long - sorry 'bout that.

Funny Bro, I was thinking the same thing :)

Any and all comments are always appreciated, and I do mark helpful even ones I do not agree with, if I think they are valid points.
eyewave was helpful and polite, we will just have to agree to disagree ;)

I got eyewave's comment, and while I appreciate where the criticism is coming from, it was done that way for a reason or two. I figure I'll offer up a response once voting is done.

Yeah, I could say the same about eyewave's comment on my image, but a few others made the same observation. I had a REASON for my choice, some people don't see it... Oh well... that's the way it goes with my entries. My images run a little deeper than a quick 5 second glance can justify... Either that or I just suck.

:-)

I wish everyone was like eyewave and leave a comment even if I don't agree.

I never reply to comments. I only say thanks!
All of them are well come!!!

Edited: By the way, Gary... I don't have your comment in my entry :(((

In theory, I know all that, but in practice I'm a goof-up half the time. :-)

eyewave is one of few commenters that nitpicked some of the flaws that I saw in my entry. For mine at least, he paid real close attention to detail.

I certainly do not want to give the wrong impression ! I do greatly appreciate almost all comments :)
And I mean eyewaves comments as well.
I sure do not want to ever be seen as discouraging someone from comments.
And I do thank eyewave for taking the time to comment on all of us!

You are the only one missing. All the others have already left a comment. For sure, people would love to receive some words from you.

I would like to second that sentiment, just because we don't agree, doesn't mean that we don't appreciate another perspective.

I was just having a conversation with a friend about this challenge and I realized that the way men and woman view nudes is so different.

Most of the comments I have received form woman like it allot most of the comments from men say they would change it to show more.

Funny as I am a man I wouldn't change a thing about my shot except for just a little thing that Leroy and Pedro pointed out. I guess it is because I am too close to the shot. It was a very personal experience and I wanted to make it as subtle and artistic as I could. Live and learn.

Funny thing about the sexes huh?

Yes, men and women view nudes completely differently. I figured that would be the case in voting and tried to ride the line between the two. It's a slippery slope. :-)

I haven't seen the stats to prove it, but I assume DPC is male dominated, as is the case for the majority of Internet users. So eye-candy may well be the way to go.

...not so much.

I think it has to do with being protective of our spouses (well, our daughters too, but in a different way). Men tend to want to view other women as sexy and desirable, yet become intimidated if another man finds our wife (daughter?) attractive.

Honestly, I slept poorly for a couple nights, wondering how I'd feel if my wife ( rossglenda) were to enter herself, or even for me to use her as a subject. In the end, I decided that my wife is a beautiful woman who I'm lucky to be with, and left it up to her.

The real deciding factor ended up being that local friends / relatives could potentially see the images, and we honestly didn't want to hear any remarks by a few 'baboons' in the family tree.

We actually intended to do something modest, then spent all day Sunday shooting other models to promote our business & ran out of time... (What a fool I am!) ;)
