... thumbed it for ya ...
The lighting seems to work quite well though there is some dark areas on the right side of the face. This may be due to the positioning of the lights or you just need a softbox or reflector on that side.

Left comment on the photo but here it is also...
I actually like this image very much. I don't mind the shadows on the left side at all. On my calibrated monitor it actually has good detail and I think it makes the photo more interesting than just having even lighting on both sides. Background lighting looks good. I also don't like the finger on the chin, to distracting and doesn't look natural. Overall, I think the lighting (the reason you posted this I think) looks great.

Lighting looks really good on this shot overall!! Nice job :-) You've got great warm skintones and the focus on the eyes looks great too.
Got a couple of comments/questions....
Did you blur the background a bit? It seems to me that there's a slight halo between the subject and the background, and I was wondering if it was from blurring the backdrop. If you didn't mess with it, it's not a huge glaring thing...just something I noticed after looking very carefully.
Second, while it's a sort of classic pose, the hand on the chin has never been one of my favorites...for men or women really :-) That might make me kind of weird, but I feel as though it's very hard to pull off naturally. Now, that being said, every studio takes tons of photos with this pose every year, so it can't be that bad!
Overall, it's a great shot! Looks like you've got those lights down pat! |

ladyhawk22 - after you close look at the backround, you noticed that the backround was blurred, i did do a lens correction blur on it cause i had a couple of wrinkles in it and i should have just cloned them out but, i kinda like the blur effect. |

Fantastic shot. I'd clone out that small white spot in his jacket lapel(is that he right word?) but that's the only thing I would change. |
