I just uploaded to Smugmug a version of a casual pano I did in November of 2006 (WARNING: 3+MB image!):
//www.kirbic.smugmug.com/photos/125749258-O-1.jpg
This is a half-linear-size (one fourth the pixels) version of the original image. It consists of three vertical frames shot with the 5D and 24-70L @ 24mm, and stitched with PTGUI/PanoTools.
Given it's nearly Superbowl time, I thought a little Football-oriented pic would be good to tide us over until game day ;-) |

Rob Hellboy, which game did you go to?
These seats are my Bro-in-law's season tickets, which I manage to latch onto every other year or so. My Father-in-law also has seats about 30 feet to the left of here. It's a great spot, IMO. But there are *no* bad seats @ Lambeau!

The only seams were in the Pack's defense ;-)
Yes it was the Pats game blowout :-P
Edit:
@yanko: YES, do it. It's a great experience... well, except for the post-game traffic.

Very cool photo Kirbic. I took some pano's of the outside of the stadium a couple of years ago. I will have dig them up. also have few shots from inside that I will put in my portfolio in the next day or two.

***warning! crappy pano! warning***
i was at the lions game on 12/17. the game was pretty sloppy but we saw favre hit the completions record, which was cool.
i'm going to have to get panotools -- i haven't seriously stitched anything together that was that many shots before. |

it was on my "life list" and i don't regret a cent of it -- or the PITA it was to get there. :) (train to chicago, train to milwaukee, car to GB, car to milwaukee, train to chicago, bus home) |

hee hee...hellboy.
yeah, i was amazed at the difference there. it's SUCH a football town. i know i'm supposed to be a colts guy and everything, but up there was the first time i ever felt that it was really all about the team and not the merchandising. jeez, it was fun.
i would have tried to hook up, kirb, but it was about a 30-hour trip all tolled and it was pretty frantic. :/ i still owe you a few beers. |

If I can get tickets again in '07, I'll give you a shout. You can stay over with us a night. |

We should collaborate on this. Maybe a DPC trip to a Packer game. |

God, sounds like a joke I once heard... A Colts fan, a Bears fan and a Packer fan are on their way to a game at Lambeau and... |

This is an awesome Idea. Tickets are always available for a price. I have a few good contacts including a girl that works at a travel agency which sells packer vacations to out of state people. Kind of pricey but always available up until about a month before the game.
I would certainly want to take part in this. It could be called the DPCheese Adventure. When do they play the Bears at home ? Then we could have a friendly rival with the Chicago DPC Crew. Be sure to keep me in the loop for this.

I can't find the panos I took but I did find these in my collection they are from 2 years ago against the Jags. It was said to be the 3rd coldest game in Lambeau History. The photos tell the story. Taken with my brother inlaws canon ps. The last one is my favorite.

Wow, Brian, you were close to the same spot, just a little more toward the west end. LOL at that last one; there's always a few nuts like that. The game we were at there were two women behind us in bikini tops, sunglasses & fur hats. |

OK, here are two from my last trip to Lambeau:
Last year my wife bought me skybox seats for the last game of the season, vs. the Seahawks:
I almost felt guilty sitting in that luxury. Almost.
These were taken with my 70-200. They actually let me take my whole bag of gear inside! |

For what we paid for the seats the day I took those photos you would have thought we were in the luxury section. 4 tickets $600.00
Was worth it though.
