Hi Guys,
Just a quickie - In basic editing can I use "selective color" from the image adjustments pull down. I mean to use it on the whole image and not just on a selected area - Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Jeff

Yes you can use a Selective Color Adjustment Layer in Basic as long as it is applied to the entire image. No selections whatsoever are allowed in Basic except for when you are cropping.

No worries and good luck. But remember...if in doubt...always read the rules. With the options of Minimal, Basic, Advanced and Expert on our minds nowadays...it is easy to get them confused. So take your time with it.

I also have a quick question.

Are you able to flip an image using Basic? I know the rules say crop, rotate and resize your entry, but no where does it say that I cannot flip

As far as I am aware, NO, you can't flip an image in Basic, due to that being classed as moving a part of or a whole image.

Actually, I believe you can flip or mirror an image in Basic as it applies to the entire image.

Hmmm...interesting. I had a look through the Basic Editing rules and this was the best I could come up with.

"You may:

*
crop, rotate and resize your entry.

It doesn't specifically say either way.

Can we have some SC input here please?

It's fine in Basic to flip (mirror) an image either horizontally or vertically (or both, but that's just a 180° rotation). It must be done to the entire image (no selection).
