I'm in ... though it took a few attempts to get what I was after, including in-camera settings adustments and framing since cropping is off-limits.
Shot --> Loaded to hard drive --> opened in CS3 --> Sharpen applied --> resize to 640px wide (720 max option did nothing to enhance my image) --> Sharpen once more --> convert to sRGB since I use Adobe RGB in-camera --> save as.
Man would I like to have even a few of the Basic Editing allowances on this one. Oh well.

I didn't even see it was 720 pix max. (Goes off to look at another "version" of a minimal editing entry. That's sorta an oxymoron...) |

I am in! Learned a few things
1) I have a lot of sensor dust!
2) Trying to set the white balance by kelvin to get that perfect feel=very difficult. And you SHOULD take off your sunglasses with the nice rose tint or you will have very odd color shifted jpegs. :-}
3) Shooting with the intention to not crop, made me focus more on what I was doing and now I have lots of images I like. Although most will now have to go through normal PP to fix color shifts. See number 2. :)
For no editing my file is huge, save at 96% to get it under 200 kb. |

I certainly did! I had to take image quality all the way down to 66 to stay under 200kb. :-O |

Yep! Had to reduce jpg quality to 82 to come under 200kb. |

Nah, you'd be lovely without the editing, but I know that you don't do any SP's without it.

I used 171k with one more percentage higher putting it over the 200k limit. But I see I am not the closest.
This should be fun...I am expecting a validation request no later than 6 a.m. US EST. ;) |

I had to go with my second choice. I use the windows fax/picture viewer to look through photos, and I accidently rotated the photo I wanted to use, which I believe makes it invalid for challenges. Usually this isn't a problem since I use the raw file which is fine, but not on this challenge. oops! |

I think that it alterates the file only when the viewer tells you it will. |

I thought it always did tell you, and I thought I turned off the warning awhile ago, I could be wrong but I think I will play it safe.
