I just uploaded Minimalism: editing - resized to 720 on the long side, saved. Didn't even sharp. Meets the description of the challenge very well but may not meet everyone's ideas of minimalism.
Also uploaded for Exit.
Scores I know not, or I'd post 'em. I'm a wee bit disappointed in my Best of - when I turned it off it was at a 5.8 with over 100 votes, which I realize is not at all shabby, but I actually did expect a wee bit better. Still like the picture, though, which is good.
Congrats on the scores it looks like folks have going in Wildlife! I'll get to voting on that later this week. |

| I am getting worried about my "Average Vote Cast" getting too high. Between "Best of" an "wildlife", I've been hard pressed to find a 5. There has been a few but not many. |

thank you so much Deb, but I don't think it is. they said I have bad lighting, bad compositions and well, bad ideas. maybe they are right, but it only makes my learn and experiment more. |

| I too noticed that the quality of wildlife photos is really, really high. I'm guessing the winner of that contest is going to have a mid-7 score or higher. Can't believe a few of those captures. |

I've been trying to figure out since the outset why there are the people with the quality and consistency here that are.
In this group that supposedly sucks.
The only thing I can figure is that there's a certain attitude and atmosphere that's here and not some other places.
It sure isn't about quality and talent.
I'd give my eye teeth and some other stuff for the consistent style, taste, eye, and skill I see here......every day.

There is one opening each on the Teams Novice, Minus, Hoovers, and Butterflies. These teams can make an invitation and devise a suitable initiation. |

Hey nikonjeb, you want my honest opinion? Tough, you're getting it anyway.
I think you have a lot of natural talent that just needs to be refined. I know I've talked about this before (gotta love redundency) but you are one of those people that can find the rose in a sack of s**t. You seem to have the eye to see what could later be a fantastic shot. I think that you just need more experience at the "bringing it out" stage. I wish I had that talent. I guess the term I'm looking for is "Vision".
There are many other people in this group that amaze me also and what is most interesting to me is that they all seem talented in their own way. I could probably just go right down the list of people in this group and tell you what I think they are really good at.
Anyway, keep up the good work. |
