I'm not sure whether you want to use black and white film or color. I only work with 120 b&w film. You would find 120 film in a camera store that caters to film photographers. In Philadelphia, I can buy 120 film at chain stores like Ritz Camera or Calumet Photo.
You can also order 120 film online at B and H Photo.
There might be places in your local area that develop and print the 120 b&w film but these places are getting fewer and fewer. You cannot take the 120 b&w film to your local Walmart or drug store.
You can also send out the film to be developed and printed.

If you go B&W it's not terribly difficult to develop the negatives yourself. The cost is not bad either.
The real cost of DIY B&W film processing is printing.
