Anyone interested in a mini-GTG next weekend? I'm planning to visit N.O. for a bit next Sunday, January 21st. I'd enjoy meeting fellow DPC'ers if anyone is available for lunch or something, and I promise I'll leave you alone by the time the NFC Championship Game starts :) |

I promised that I'd relieve anyone of any GTG obligations well before The Game :) An early lunch would be cool, if anyone's available. |

That'd be cool... I saw in Slippy's thread that you come highly recommended as a guide! :) |

Yes, and I loved New Orleans. The architecture is beautiful! The thin streets are really cool. I recommend the bar we met at, and the cemetary #1 we went to. And Trey, remember when you said, "Someone famous is in this cemetery, but I can't remember who."? I found out later on, it is Marie Laveau, of the famous voodoo shoppe on Bourbon Street. It's the grave with all the "X's" drawn in chalk on it. I'll leave it up to Alan to look up the reason why. :-)

Good to know... Hopefully I'll be able to remember that until the next time I'm showing someone around the city... =]
And as far as being a good guide -- I'm not so sure about that. That could be the Corona's talkin'... =] |

Hey! We had fun! =]
I'm glad to have gotten to meet Chad and Alan. We wandered around the quarter and even managed to make it to the top of a building at some point... We had lunch at the Clover Grill; thanks to whoever recommended that... =]
Edit: Yeah, I'm an idiot... Thumbs work now =]

Well it looks like you are using the [img] tag instead of the [thumb] tag at least that's how it shows when I go and quote your post in a reply. |

It was great to meet you and Chad today! That was a lot of fun -- I got a good laugh out of a few of your shots. I'll post some when I get a chance.
Sorry about the whole Saints thing... :( |

Ah, so it wasn't "Alien Invades New Orleans". This monitor at school is so screwy. ;-) |

Hey, I had a great time too. I'm glad that most of the rain held off for us. I've gone through most of my pictures too, though I don't have any with me to post. I'll get some up tonight.
I took some good shots in Jackson Square after we split up.
