I had hoped that this would produce a better score than it did. Would you share your opinion as to why it did not?
Do you think this photo is:
(1) Too dark;
(2) Uninteresting (pose and/or subject);
(3) Poorly lit;
(4) Too soft, or
(5) Suffers from other faults not listed?
Thanks for any input. Any additional help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. .Ray |

I love everything about it except the low contrast. I would like to see the white's of his eyes whiter.. but then again I LOVE high contrast.. |

1. No.
2. Yes, pose is a tad boring. And the subject also seems uninterested.
3. Not too bad.
4. Seems about right as far as sharpness goes. Could probably be pushed a little though.
5. Lacks contrast. Composition lacks any punch and probably should be perfectly centered for a "mug shot" style.
Hope those help you understand the score. Although, it's not a terrible score.

Good, I was hoping it didn't come across as harsh, because you do some good work.
And yes Shakalaka kaka is dead :-)

Naw, I didn't think you were being harsh! (you being a southern boy like myself, you'll understand the tone and meaning of "naw", I'm sure). Any time someone asks for c/c in the forums they should be grateful for any input they get, harsh or not, anyway, eh? Thanks for the complement, too. I'm slow but hopefully, steady.
I had thought that maybe my entry showed as too dark on some monitors, glad to hear that wasn't necessarily the case.
Any others with an opinion, please chime in... this will be my last bump. Thanks in advance, Ray |
