I've been looking at video cameras for a few months now and now that I have my 1D back from canon and ready to sell, I'll have the money to get something soon. Been reading a lot of reviews and i'm still pretty confused about which is the best deal. Down the road i'm hoping to film a movie with some friends, but for now it's mostly just learning how to use it, and a few small films we have ideas for. My budget right now is about $1300 but I can probably come up with a little more in awhile. Anyway here are the cameras i've been looking at, any advice, or reasons not to get one or the other is greatly appreciated.

canon GL-2
panasonic DVX100 (really have to stretch the budget for this, but 24P Mmm)
sony vx2000 (so far i think it's my fave)
JVC GR HD1 (the only HD camera)
sony PD150

Feel free to suggest other cameras too.
