It could be anything you want.
Just browse other official Team Threads in the Side-Challenges section to see what's out there. Many are theatrical or whimsical type. I will try to do post processing to make them each a color shade of your choice.
With that intention I could make them all cartoon-like f/x. I will email several choices of the results, which you may further edit as you wish. I can add colorfull spotlights/fire/fireworks/makeup/shadows (pleas name it), etc., to make it look like a rock band on stage.
That's if we are going with the motley as an assortmant of talent, with the energy of Rockers that keep Rolling.
I may add some of the still-frames from the animated .gifs that baco99 sent. I was also thinking of incorporating animated .gif into our logo, if the size allows and everyone doesn't find the movements, too, annoying. |

Well my "Battle..." seems to be stabilizing at 4.7xxx, but my "Match" is currently at 5.1xxx, a half a point better. That still sucks, but I'm learning and making rules for myself. I've still came too close to Tuesdays deadline. Mostly I have Saturday and Sunday to shoot. I know some who get up before the sunrise and shoot an hour before work. I have to give my wife a ride to work so I can't do that.
There are always alternatives. It only takes a "Fraction of a second" for a shot, along with 1-2 hours before and 1 hour after.
Now the sun comes out, which I think is better for panning birds. Now I'll try for Entrance and Wildlife III. Time to renew my Zoo membership.

Ignore the previous thread, it's just a competitive and/or envious team spying on our strategies. :-)
Sorry any real secret strategies are not posted here. |

Its not to private. Other teams can spy... or we can spy on them!
;)
My b&w portrait didn't do very well, as expected.
330th... ouch! I haven't really done portraits so I guess that can be expected. This shot was a quick record of the orange over blond fiasco my son got talked into by a girl over New years. My husband really didn't let up on him about it, but I was like 'if this is the worse thing a girl talks him into, I will be happy!' LOL So I happily recolored it for him before school started back up.

Thank you ColorCarnival!
You guys think a bug would count as wildlife?

T,
I am wondering that as well. Jeepers, I live in a rural area where deer run aross my front yard all the time. Are they there now? NOOOO! I guess our cold front is enough to keep them under an evergreen. I wanted to try out my "night " feature of the sony camera, but no one is coming around. At least I have a more time to track them. |

I had read that post earlier and got bored when everyone started talking about their lenses... *sigh* I just got an idea for it, Maybe I will be able to get out there in time. If not, I will have to wait for the next one. Winter is NOT a good time for this challenge as it was stated before. Oh well, at least its not counted on WPL hehehe |

I've been thinking about both of the new challenges...a few things come to mind, but my first entry didn't score very well and my current battle of the sexes is hovering at :

I am pleased as a 2nd time entry - but I am hoping to be a better contributor to the team. The battle entry was a flip entry as I was lagging in challenge entries among our team. The weather here makes it hard to get outside as it is so cold. Indoors is even worse; for the time I am living at my cottage - a small space, few resources for props and lighting. |

participating is how to contribute, and that's what you are doing (just as we all are). the season starts in one more week, so we're all trying to figure out what does well on the site. i'm still a relative newbie, but if you look at any random profile scores go up considerably after the first few entries. partially because we become better at taking pictures, but more because we get better at selecting, preparing/processing, and submitting pictures. getting better at taking pictures takes a long time, but the other things can come rather quickly as we learn what does well here at dpc. and, teammates can help in this process... i'm excited for the season to start! |

Asim...
that was a kind post and I get a lot inspiration from that (TY). Please trust that I am really trying the best I can ( I have my camera at my side all the time)...given that I am trying to figure out my complex camera and no manual. I have some great photos from my "regular camera", but I am having trouble converting to digital medium - in that I want to get away from the auto mode of point and shoot. I have been looking for activity on our Montley Crew Thread, but I seem to be missing everyone. :(
I am at Yahoo Messenger: "got2teach" albeit not during the day 7- 4:00- if anyone wants to communicate "real time" during the evening hours I am often on during my lesson planning upload to the school server.
Given the profiles I looked at from the team, I should have given up my slot when it was asked for - I am really nervous about this because I don't have much of a profile. |

you can download a manual for the dsc-f828 here. don't know if that will help as you play around with your camera more. the desire to learn more about your camera and taking pictures is what this is all about. i'm sure that every one of us has taken a bunch of cool photos that we are proud of, and plenty more we are embarrassed about. since the good ones are a small percentage of the images we take, odds are that most of the pictures you have liked the most are from your film days (at least that's what it sounds like). well, you've got a great camera, and i'm sure that in the very near future you will be posting stuff that you (and our whole team) can be proud of. |

Sh^t fire! great link! I will get it downloaded at school from our T1 connection. I am sure I will do a better job after looking over that. Sad that my admin @ school just throws tech stuff at me with no manuals or "how to" support. You are a gem for finding that! |

Debbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb - next Wednesday, when the results from the "match" challenge are posted, you BE SURE to go see the score of my photo. You should no longer feel intimidated to be here lol.
I'm not being down on my self, I am being honest when I say - I am almost 100% positive that I am getting the brown ribbon lol. (I figure I am getting it out of my system before the WPL starts.)
Off and running now to go get my DPC membership! Wheeeeeeeee...

Keep trying that's all it takes.
Every student doesn't get an "A" first-time every time, not without some study and practice excerises.
Anything submitted is an asset to the team. No pictures get no scores.
Yes, I also went online and printed out a dupolicate copy of my Sony DSC-707 manual last spring.
