For my D70, I have the wireless remote that triggers the shutter.

But for some reason (hopefully oversight), I can't get it to work with my new D200.

Anyone know the answer to this? I looked through the manual and used my inference, but came up empty.

Thanks all.

sorry, the D200 does not work with a wireless remote. Wired only.

and that is one of the reasons I moved up. BTW - you can get a wired or a RF (radio) remote for it.

My mistake, Nikon does make a wireless remote for the D200.

The remote for the d70 will not work though.

wired is just that. your tethered to the camera but can fire without touching it. great for tripod shots.

RF hooks up a receiver to the wired connection and then you fire the camera by wireless remote that uses radio waves. The advantage is you do not have to be right in front of the camera as with the infared and it has a range of 100'. Great for wildlife photograhy.

Does anyone know if the dotline model will work on the bulb function like the wireless remote made by Nikon for the D70 and D50 does. meaning press once to open shutter and press again to close shutter?

Thats how I do all my long exposures over 30 secs. Set up click once, go somewhere warm for 10-20 min and come back and press it again and wait for NR to do its thing. :)

How are your Night shots with the D200? I am becoming a bit wary of mine as they are coming out quite noisy, even at low ISO compared to my D50. I get way better results at ISO 400 on my D50 than I do at ISO 100 on my D200 when doing 30 sec exposures... But I am in denial :/
