Are these filters legal under the current rules. I see dust and scratch is mentioned in the rules. Does anyone have a definitive answer?

I certainly hope so, as I despeckle almost every shot I take. :-> I figured they were because the effect is applied to the picture as a whole, not to a selected region.

That's my thinking too, but just wanted to know forsure.

Despeckle would surely fall under "reduce the effects of noise" in allowable filters. |

Despeckle was specifically allowed under the old rules, so that SHOULD be safe. I would not use the Median filter without a specific advisory from the site admins. |
