Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM

I am having a problem with my canon 17-40 f4 usm lens,
I cant get it to focus manualy
It focuses in manual mode and auto mode. Has anyone any ideas,

yes it auto focuses in auto and auto focuses in manual

it sounds stuck on AF :-(

yes its stuck on auto focus,is this an expensive repair.

Bout $680 to fix ;-P I don't really have a clue. Call Canons service dept. and ask would be the best route I guess. I called Nikon today for daughters P&S. Costs more to fix than replace.

Ive e-mailed a canon centre in glasgow and im awaiting a reply,to cost etc,I will let you know the outcome when and if i get it. thank you all.
