The park is closed i thought ... we can make it earlier if you like Im totally easy about the time to meet. Sunday i thought because easy for parking and less hassle with traffic blips. Im flexible really

Please count me in as a "highly likely", and not "aye" as there is a possible work conflict here (snarl). Will confirm as soon as possible.

Public transport is a pain in the ***. If I leave my flat at 5am I'll be there at 9.00 (if I don't miss any trains and buses, that is: I have to change 5 times).
Does anybody fancy giving me a lift from Victoria Station or thereabouts?

Oh, opening hours should be either 7.00 or 7.30, at least that's what they were last year, they haven't got the 2007 timetable up yet.

I might manage a short-ish session on the morning of the 28th if we started early (though 27th still preferred).

I will drive past Victoria Station if dates/times can be sorted and if gloda still needs a lift.

That would be much appreciated Matthew! I'm coming to London by bus, so I can tell quite precisely when I'll be there. Whatever suits you best, if you can make it. Earliest is something after 7.30 at Victoria Station.

Does this mean that we could meet on the Saturday instead without causing anyone any hassle? It is a large park, and I guess that an early morning start will avoid the issues you identify in any case, while making life much easier for gloda and me.

Where are you coming from? I could sit and wait for you comfortably somewhere around there, I am sure.

I'm coming from Canterbury. I'll arrive in the Victoria Bus Station. Somewhere on Buckingham Palace Rd, I think. It's the National Express bus stop inside one of the buildings.

MAK, thanks a lot for keeping me on the list, but I won't be able to come over to England now. Maybe when it warms up a bit - so please keep me in mind for the next GTG. I had a great time at the last one I was at!

We need to decide on is one of the car parks, don't we? There's 7 car parks. Is there some area which would be of immediate interest to us, e.g. somewhere the deers like to be?
If not, the North car park near Richmond Gate is close to the bus stops.

Thanks Gloda, I went there just once so I dont even know the best parking to go.. North gate sounds good to me its close to bus stops so helps those coming in on the bus.. we can always drive around until we see some dear LOL.. great stuff.. I suggest if people wanna bring a packed lunch because London is really expensive for snacking.. I will be bringing sarnies and Coffee.
