I'll have the cash in a few weeks to buy a new lens. I have 4 that I have my eyes set on, but I can't seem to decide!

Choice #1: Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor (I can get on a 1-3 week waiting list!)

Choice #2: Nikon 12-24mm f/4G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor

Choice #3: Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor

Choice #4: Nikon 14mm f/2.8D ED AF Nikkor

I will be using the lens to for most to all my photography. Almost replace the 18-55mm kit lens entirely! All have a perfect balance of pros and cons (as far as I know). So, I would really appreciate anyone opinions, thoughts, suggestions.

BTW, if you can point out possibly better options, than feel free to let me know.

Well, the 18-200VR and the 17-55 are valid replacements, but the other two would be complimentary to the kit lens. The 18-200 is a relatively slow lens at longer focal lengths, and though the VR does compensate, it does nothing to stop subject motion. VR is darn useful, though, at focal lengths longer than about 70mm, and can be useful at short focal lengths for static subjects.
Since you say that you'll be replacing the kit lens, rather than supplementing it, I'd suggest staying with one of these two zooms. Which one will depend on your needs. Not being a Nikon expert, I'll defer to others as to the minutiae of lens performance between your choices.

What types of photographs will you be taking?
Wildlife, sports, portraiture, etc...

Choice one would not be my first choice.

Choice #3: Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor would be my pick for a replacement for the kit lens.

If you really want something up there in the 200mm range I would look for something like a 70-210mm/50-150mm with a fixed f/2.8 and keep the kit lens to use for a wide angle lens.

Mostly...

landscapes/cityscape
Near infrared
Indoor/outdoor sports (airsoft)
portraiture (family, pets)

BTW, the extra zoom with the 18-200mm vr lens would just be "extra fluff" for me.
