The news travels fast these days. People in canada have heard about the local story Here in St. Louis.

Monday a young boy was kidnapped as the bus dropped him off at his home. It has been a frantic search for him for many days. I can't imagine the anguish the family was going through. Yesterday, they found him alive and well. The icing on the cake was that they also found another boy that was kidnapped 4 yrs ago!

I rejoice in their recovery, and pray they will recover from the mental and emotional damage they have incurred over this incident!

I agree Teresa!!! When my son was 11, one of his best little girlfriends was kidnapped walking home from spending the night with her friend. Our entire town (San Antonio) got involved in the search for her, only to find her dead a week later. There's still a place in all of our hearts that will never get over it.

When I hear stories like this, I feel so emotional with relief and joy, that it makes me cry!

And yeah. . .many prayers are probably needed for those 2 families, especially the one with the boy that had been missing 4 years!

I thought I was watching an episode of Law and Order when I heard the news.......simply amazing, simply speechless.

Simply amazing it is. Having two teenagers myself, I can't imagine what those parents must be feeling. To miss your child between the ages of 11 and 15, he must seem like a completely different person to them. So much changes in those 4 years.

And why didn't we hear more about this boy four years ago when he disappered? Oh yeah, he's not a girl with blond hair.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid that may be sadly true :( "Our" little girl was blonde haired and blue-eyed and it was all over everywhere, in fact, there's a National Search Center set up now in her name.

I saw the story last night. Great news! And thanks to a tip from an alert 15 year old kid!

And the perpetrator was already on the Sexual Offender registry. >:|

And heard another story about a guy in Vermont with two previous felony assault convictions (one stabbing his wife in the head with a screwdriver), now charged with sexual assault on a 4 year old - TEN COUNTS! - and the judge gives him probation and rehab! HE DOESN'T EVEN GO TO PRISON!! Let alone suffer the punishment I dreamed up for him.

Children are discardable. Let's focus on the offenders - they are the true victims of society and we need to cure them. AAAAARRRGGGGHHHHH!

Anyone here live in Vermont? The WORST state in the country for this type of crap!

...sorry for the tirade - I am so happy these boys were found. I get sick to my stomach seeing these stories over and over.

Someone needs to offer that guy a free brake job on is car... and perhaps a slight repair on the gas line as well. Maybe a push to go with it?

He was registered in Utah, but not in Missouri!
I would like to know why we expect the perp to REGISTER himself!
Why isn't the registry NATIONWIDE?

The guy who called it in waited for a while not sure if he should report it. He didn't think it was relevant at first. This just proves that the smallest detail should be checked out even if you don't think its important, call it in!

It was obvious he was trading for a younger model because the older boy was getting to old. So what would he have done to 'dispose' of the older boy had he not gotten caught. *shudders*

I was reading up on it today and Shawn's parents were on TV a lot four years ago after he disappeared. They even went on Montel with Sylvia Browne (a psychic..not that I'm into it) who told them that Shawn was dead. They did a bunch of shows and had a couple websites going. I don't think it's a matter of them not telling the public, but of the public not listening. We're fickle ya know :-)

I knew a girl in Calgary who, when she was 7 or 8 living in Vancouver, was playing at her best friend's house but ran across down the street to her own home to grab a doll. When she got back to her friend's house, a half an hour later, she discovered a man had broken into the home and abused the other girl.
