As someone mentioned, it's not that hard to just hold it out at arm's length. For example, when Isaac turned six, he decided to take his own birthday picture with his new camera:

Another trick I like using to get self-portraits (besides standing in front of a mirror and various suchlike, shooting in the mirror) is using the mirror to *see the back of the camera*. Just a little one is fine. It lets you see the viewfinder (if backwards).

As long as it's some part of you. :-> You could even wear a mask, or glue a paper plate to your nose, obscuring much of your features. It has to (a) probably include SOME part of your physical form, and (b) represent you in some way. (b) is easier if you're using faces.

that one was taken by my gradnson... and Kavamama, my sentiments exactly, I love being the family photographer, it means I get to take all the pics without ever being in them!! |
