Thanks for the 10 you gave me. And big thanks for the comment you made. I am happy few people could like my entry. There are few people on DPC who can appreciate an out of box picture.

I will be interested after the competition to see if this is the shot that I think it is.

Seriously though. I just looked at your portfolio. I got some catchin' up to do! Hugz.

... and don't diss my Kodak! ... The Schneider KREUZNACH lens has very nice clarity.

I had a Nikon CoolPix 8700 and trashed it when I fell over a sticking up cobblestone in Germany and I am almost glad I did.

P.S. Did I ever mention that Nikon service sux HUGE!

Last so many months I had this complain that I keep so busy that I could not go out doors to shoot things. And at home I could not shoot much.

But if you could score 6.5plus with an apple. Man I should not complain, rather I should be more creative.

I have many ideas in my mind, I need to materialize them. I will try.

Got my 9, and a nice comment. Thank you! Still running around 5.6, but after looking at and voting on all of the entries over the past couple of days, I can say two things:

-My score is probably about where it should be, if not a bit too high. I see where I messed up this shot and there is no way it will make my profile page. (I'm still gonna get a print and frame it. :)

-There are some excellent shots out there, and they really stand out from the crowd in my opinion. The winner will easily be above a 7 I think. (They're just being quiet I guess. :)

I agree. I'm thinking the ribbon winners will all be in the 7.4X range. I've never had so many comments this early on- nor have I had so many 'kind' comments. I don't care what anyone says, I DO want the negative/constructive comments. They have made me better. I just don't like the 'snipes'.

I'm also convinced that the appeal of your model can help improve your scores expotentially. Mine is starting to complain and I expect a strike or contract re-negotiation very, very soon (we're talking King-sized combo meals AND a hot apple pie)

Agreed: I have voted about 12 outstanding shots in the 8+ categories...they DO stand out from the rest and really deserve to be high scorers. If people are complaining around the 6.3 level that they're getting bad reviews, then those perfect portraits are definitely scoring much higher.
