So, my wife and I took a trip to London, Paris, and Muenster, Germany, with a day side-trip to Holland. All in 8 days!

Got back a week ago. Been busy and under-the-weather, but finally got most of the worthwhile shots up. You can see my love of street portraiture, as well as maybe more typical views.

Pics are HERE.

Thanks for letting me share. Please enjoy :)

WOW! Great shots! My fav is the guitar player on the park bench... great capture there.

When I went to Europe (10 years ago) I had a $35 camera and looking at my pics today I just wanna weep... ;-)

Wow! These shots are super! Between Zion, Europe and the Chicago Botanical Garden, we DPCers get around!

I was going to list my favorites, mag, but gave up when I realized I had too many to list!

Awesome job! Certainly much better than the typical vacation pictures :)

I particularly liked the shot of the inside of Notre Dame... the light shining through the window is awesome. Great work!

What was the name of the Dutch town?

8 days!!! Do own a private jet?
The funny thing about American tourists is they want to see so much of Europe in so little time that sometimes they don't get it anymore. I once heard a group of older Americans who visited Vienna say : "Yesterday we visited Amsterdam the capitol of Copenhagen" :-)

The town is called Enschede on the border to Germany. Here are some more shots of the same trip:

Enschede is not a small town 150.000 people, it is the largest town in east Holland.

Mag, great bunch of pics. What I really love is the fact that you have photos of sceneries AND people. It'easy to forget taking pictures of other people when on a trip. Good job.

'Palace' is 'Hotel des invalides'.
I like the fact that there is picture of people as well. did you sometimes ask or you just managed to take them without them seeing you ?

I like the business man on the bench but his feet are cut :-(
My prefered is 'Day in life' , the bird with the statue.

"8 days!!! Do own a private jet? "

No, but I was so tired after the trip, I got a terrible cold and was sick for about 4 days.

"The funny thing about American tourists is they want to see so much of Europe in so little time that sometimes they don't get it anymore."

I don't know if this is as much a function of the country I live in as much as the fact that I don't have a lot of time off from my job :P. But thanks for the stereotype generalization. It's even funnier because I wasn't even born in the U.S. ;) ...

"I like the fact that there is picture of people as well. did you sometimes ask or you just managed to take them without them seeing you ?"

I use my 75-300 IS. It's the best for street photography. You can get intimate portraits from a block away :-D.

"Enschede is not a small town 150.000 people, it is the largest town in east Holland."

I live in a city of over 5 million. Enough said ....

Thanks for all the comments and letting me share .. : )
