| You can also use a step down ring if you already have bigger filters. It's cheaper than buying filters for every size lens. |

| If you must use filters with this lens, you may want to buy good ones (B+W, Heliopan etc.). I prefer to use it pure, without filtering through additional glass. This may not be as critical with a Rebel as it would with a FF camera, but I'd still consider it. |

Myself I have a step up ring to go from 52mm to 55mm. It works just fine except for my circular polarizer in which case its kinda tough to get the darn filter off the ring. The filter keeps turning around and remains attached to the ring...takes a little time and patience but eventually I can get the filter off.
