my work was kind enough to block access to many sites recently (mainly yahoo and hotmail).

I have heard of those sites you can go to then link to anywhere you want to go and not get blocked by corporate big brother...anyone got a link???

i tried searching google but came up empty handed....i could be searching for the wrong thing....

Not sure if this will work, but you can try it... //www.anonymizer.com/

anonymizer will likely be filtered by the very filter we're trying to circumvent. how ironic.

Try //www.mail2web.com .

yep, i dont want to get the full version, I can check my yahoo email from home.

well i would wrather not say who I work for, but they did block access to yahoo email and hotmail, and a lot of other sites. We can not download .exe files , or video files (.mpeg, wmv, .mov , .avi and so on), plus a lot of other junk.

but I can still get to DPC :) thats all that is really important anyway

Use //babelfish.altavista.com/ and translate Spanish to English - then just put in the website you want to go to.

If your work went to the trouble to block all those sites, I'd bet that they're monitoring pretty closely what you're doing online and I doubt that they'd think too highly of anonymizer or anything else like that. If you care about keeping your job, you should probably just wait until you get home.

My work blocks a lot of sites too. Thankfully, dpchallenge doesn't have "nudity" on the key word list or I couldn't access this place either. It's funny though, I set up my own Web site and I couldn't get to it through my work connection - said it was blocked due to pornography, nudity, etc. I noticed that a lot of photography sites are blocked.
