Given all the recent *blah blah blah* about voting and rules and all the things that are wrong with the site (my favourite site of all, BTW), I'd just like to point out that the three winners of 'Sound' were all both artistically and technically excellent, and deserving winners. They were, in fact, my three highest votes (and so you know, I'm always right - just ask me).

Congrats to the three winners - keep 'em coming.

Pedro

Better from me than most of the 'moving body of water' shots that WERE entered. :->

My sound shot that I didn't enter. I didn't feel that most people would realize that the balloon was in fact in pop when it was captured.

How the heck did you get the baloon "in-pop?" That's like a one in a million chance!

Im guessing a long exposure with a brief flash burst.

Actually it was one of about 80 trys. My son would pop when I said 3! So it was, 1, 2, 3(pop). I would trigger right before saying 3 to try and time it exactly. I got two pop shots, the other one was too blurry, this one was good, but not exactly as I had hoped.

I don't want to start anything in here, but just want to point out that no one was saying anything is wrong with the site.

Agreed. It was enjoyable to vote for "sound".

Agreed - that was poorly worded. I was making reference to 2 main things, more than the site specifically:

1. Voting - which, despite a bit of moaning lately, I think awarded ribbons to deserving winners this week (and most weeks, for that matter).

2. Spot editing - I'm not sure spot editing would have improved any of the winners, reinforcing that it may not be necessary.

Love the site, and I kinda think most of you people are ok too. :)
