Thanks, folks. :) I'm pretty excited about my finish myself, plus it's my new 3rd best.
Now I just need to learn how to shoot something other than well-lit monuments at night. I think I've mined that motif all I want for at least a little while.

 levyj413 I have an idea...I'll shoot night photography of monuments for awhile, and you shoot animals :-)
My OOB (very OOB) Procrastination entry is doing a lot better than I expected - hanging around 5.9 with one favorite. One of you suckers didn't like it at all, though :-) |

Speaking of which, as I posted in the procrastination scores thread, I misunderstood the challenge entirely for my first voting/commenting run. Then a friend kindly pointed out that it wasn't just to interpret the abstract concept of procrastination, but rather to show something you put off. So I went back and voted and commented again. If you had a comment from me that changed, you now know why.

Jeff, one of the many reasons I like you is your honesty. But the comment didn't change, LOL. You still aren't a fan (beat over head with frying pan). Just kidding.
I knew I took a risk with my photo, and am cool with it. I just broke the 6 mark with it! My new lens and tripod are obviously doin' me right. As is the discovery of USM in PS.

That'll make 2 of your 3 6s where I wasn't a fan (well, I *liked* your rooster shot, I just didn't see it fitting in 12 days of Christmas). I know! Let's work together to help you take a shot I REALLY REALLY hate. You'll ribbon for sure! :)

Thanks to levyj413 for comments on my cats, which currently fill my top bar.
I totally agree. There's not a whole lot of love for cat shots outside of pet challenges, it just seems to be something that gets me reasonable scores, probably because I shoot them often. |

well, i've had my camera for almost two years and only learned what the Hotshoe was two weeks ago. i learned this by setting it to "on" taking a bunch of pictures and then wondering why they all came out dark. i had to reshoot my pink floyd entry as a result and the shot i ended up submitting is my third highest scoring shot.
i also have this little square icon on my screen and i dont knw what the hell it is. i've hit every button on the camera and it wont go away... and since i've lost the instructions, it's just going to have to stay there until i accidentally turn it off again.
i trully am proud to be a member of this team. we know we don't everything. we know we're not the highest scoring team ( well some of us anyways...)
we just don't see why this should stop us.

Actually Catherine, I'm surprised YOU didn't recognize it. I know there are a lot of photo's in centered and you probably have to go through them quickly and it was a little different perspective.
That being said, I can see why you didn't recognize it. LOL |

In fact, I'm suckin' so well, I see no need to enter my Jeff-suggestion-inspired Song Title shot because additional confirmation is simply not required at this point. Showed it to my mom, told her the song title, and she said "I don't think that's what that song is probably about." And all of that won't fit with the title, so the shot wouldn't be all that funny. |

i don't do that "as much" anymore. i think the one i took it across the jaw the hardest for was my fashion entry. there was a bit of a dispute over the word heighth. i pulled it from the book a clockwork orange and used it in my title.
actually... funny enough, i got a positive comment from melethia on it as well...
hmmm... team suck had it's eye on me a long time ago.
