I am happy with the number of comments, not with their content. I am happy with the score, would be very happy if it stays over 5. I guess it will. I love the image and expected that the votes wouldn´t get it ;-).

This was a 6 at one time and keeps going up and down. Would love to get a comment from the low votes. 8 of these comments definitely do not reflect this score.

Whooh hooh! Went from looking at four 5+ scores and a 6 to four 6+ scores and one five. Still a couple of days left to get that last one over.

Sheesh. It went down below 5 last night. This is just rediculous. I'm not getting any comments as to why. I haven't done this poorly since I first started minus an exception or 2.


keep your head up Monica, you do absolutely beautiful work. I think everyones is low due to the competition this time. I have never seen such good quality pictures in 1 challenge. It is a tough one this time.

Well ... if I can claw up to a 5, I will be really happy ... it seems SOME people were touched by my photo ... maybe a tad too surreal for most.

I am going for a 7 in the B&W Portrait Challenge!

all very awsome comments except one. I just wanna hit 5.7 and ill be very happy. I know its not a great score like most of yours but thus far my pictures have ben at 5.4 and lower so above 5.5 is good. Getting above 5.5 is one of my goals for 07 so hopefully i can get that and if im lucky get 6.0 but im just aiming for the 5.5+ one for now lol.

It seems to be obvious that I was WAY too surreal and artsy with my first submission here ... If I get a 5.0 I will dance but doubt that very much.

But ... I think I got a 7 in the portrait challenge!

I gave more 4s than in any other challenge. But I gave 78 6s too. Hope to get back to comment more before it rolls. Surreal and artsy works for me mostly, Greetmir, as does humor. My own entry has nudged above 5.3, which is fine since I took a chance instead of the more sure thing. 9 comments.

I've not posted here before (in this kind of thread), so I hope I'm not intruding; tough for a newbie to get a feel for this place. My score's gone 'round between 5.6 and a bit above 6.0 since the start; here's where it is right now:

Here's hoping it stays above 5.7. With it being so much middlish, the comments aren't particularly helpful in helping me see what I could have done to move it up, except one that pretty much wished that I had taken a different picture. I must admit, though, I rarely get beyond commenting on the 1-4s (I want to comment on these to give some idea of why I rated them low, though I'm always too much of a coward to put the score in the comment), so I'm not sure why I expect more comments myself - other than pure greed, that is ;)

Anyway, holding on for the final run.

Who knows why so few comments for you? Mine is also just above six, yet I've got 17 comments...

The comments maybe low coz of voter fatigue. Huge numbers of entries to vote for i guess. Just finished voting and my fingers are numb already!
The other thing that i noticed is the general similiraties in many compositions and a large number of above average images to add to the confusion
