I wish there was a way to insert a (one time) response to the individual comments as I receive them during the voting process? (These comments and responses would then become visible after the challenge ends).
Currently I believe the only way to directly respond to voter comments is by 'private message', thus losing anonymity.

| Yeah, that is a good point. It is technically against the rules to let people know which photo is yours during the competition, so how to reply to comments? |

I was not suggesting to be able to exchange dialog, but rather just the one-time response to a voter comment. The response would appear right below the individual viewer comment upon completion of challenge.

There is no rule that says you can't let people know which photo is yours during the competition... it's just a general unwritten rule that most people follow. Quite a few people on here, confer with others before they enter their photos... thats just how it goes... I think people really frown upon sharing which photo is theirs in forum... but otherwise, there is definitely no rule. Just wanted to clear that up.

| I would love to see something like this! A little worried it could turn into a backbiting session if someone had a "constructive" (negative) comment, but hopefully people wouldn't abuse it. I'd much rather leave a reply next to the photo than PM a person who has long since forgotten which one was mine. :) |

I like it...you could answer the question the comment maker asked while you were watching score during the voting.
I get about the same number of questions as comments and I tend to forget to answer the questions after the voting cause im am now working on another photo

I've found that a lot of people reply to comments, and if they don't sign their name, or if their email address isn't their name, then I really have no clue who they are anyway.
If you don't want people to know who you are, then don't sign your name and use an email address that doesn't give it away. This of course doesn't work when you have to use PM's. However, if you want to respond, and have it only show up after then challenge is over. Then you COULD always just wait till the challenge is over to respond. |
