ok, so I am testing a theory here. Just as I am an active member of dpc I am also an active member of devientart.
I have a gallery there but I get little to no comments, and as you may or may not know I am very much a dpc born photographer. It's been a couple of years and I have some schooling now but I think my style really carries through. I just don't think my style fits in with the popular things there. I am not saying this is bad, just interesting.

With Deviant art, you have to work it to get the visitors to your site.
Join clubs, enter contests to be seen. Otherwise noone will notice your existance. When I stop participating in entering other clubs, My visitors slow way down. Even though I have lots of watchers. You have to keep working it to make it work for you.
They are also having difficulty with images loading and that makes me not want to visit my own site. I can imagine its having an impact on other peeps as well.

I stopped looking at deviantart years ago because of this. Good to know it hasn't changed. |

Right. I opened an account there, but it was too much trouble. Haven't looked at it in more than a year now.

From my limited experience viewing images on DA, I would say your style fits in here, moreso than there. Looking at your DPC profile, I would say your problem here is that you're not entering enough challenges (5 in over 2 years), not browsing and/or voting and commenting on others photos here (commenting on others work helps you improve as much or more than it helps them) AND the last problem I see - and this is a big one - is that you have both a Canon AND a Nikon (and a Fuji P&S to boot)! :) |

ohh, the whole challenge thing is because I started school two years ago and now I'm trying to get the doors of my own studio open, I'm still active just don't really have the time to shoot for myself let alone challenges. I will be back someday, just to busy to do it now. |
