LOL!! Read this. I gotta try it. I've heard of people that sign weird stuff as their signature on credit card receipts, but this guy is nuts!

That's so funny. I found myself signing under my maiden name a few weeks ago, and got all embarassed but the chick never said anything at the scribble I ended up producing. hahaha, that's funny

That's funny, I'm going to try some of those. I can't believe that people don't look at signatures on credit cards. Its funny, last week when I went to yellowstone, both days that I went into the park the guard had questioned me about the signature on my NP Pass because it didn't match my drivers liscense signature. I told her that I had signed my drivers liscense 5 years ago and she told me that signatures don't change. I turned over the NP Pass card and said that my name is right there and the same name is on my drivers liscense. She let me in the park, but still looked at me like I was trying to get away with something.

This stuff is hilarious. I am (was) a cashier at wal mart and i never pay attention to the signatures (they are pretty much worthless at proving the card belongs to the holder anway), but I would if people got more creative with it like this guy = )

I have done the same thing and have never been questioned. i have been Mickey Mouse, ex-pro baseball player Jose Canseco, Donald Duck and Gargamel. This guy takes it a bit further but interesting to know that other people have done this and nothing has been said.

I like the grid, and the hieroglyphs - just outrageous.

I usually put "request further identification" on the back, in very clear, legible writing, and only once has the clerk done it. :-)

lololol

My husband and i had liverpool and victoria credit cards for a while which had photos of us on the back of our respective cards. When we got back from holiday once it seems the wrong cards went into our wallets - I had his and he had mine.

We didn't notice at first and Pete bought something at WHSMith using my card, with my picture on it, and with our completely different signatures. No problem.

Then as he walked out he noticed they'd overcharged him, went straight back in and got the partial refund processed, still with no one noticing that it was not his card.

We did write a letter to WHSmith (and to the card company to let them know) but they shrugged it off with a "sorry, this was an exception to our usual high standards" type bullshit message!

Here is a picture of Pete and I so you can see the difference in our appearance - I'll try and post a pic of our sigs later.

I get credit cards where I work, and I'm supposed to ask for ID I suppose, but I kinda figure that if you steal a credit card you're gonna charge more on it than just a couple of movies.

Actually a lot of more savvy CC thiefs don't charge large items to it - that way the theft isn't always noticed immediately by the bank and if the owner doesn't notice they can use the card for a while to fund regular life style stuff...

I misplaced a card once. Figured it was in the house somewhere (ADD will do that to ya) however when the next statement came in and there were a bunch of gas purchases we new something was up. You can just walk up to any gas pump stick in your card and bang no verification or signature needed.
