There are absolutely no copyright rule violations in this Challenge, and like Jak, I'd love to know where you got this idea. You are providing a photograph you shot and you own the copyright for, so it can't be that. The title refers to a magazine that it would be appropriate for, which isn't any different than, say, someone commenting "I can imagine this on the cover of Foo Magazine" (the only difference being that you're the one who is saying that), which is also hardly a copyright violation. And since you're not including actual logos or purporting to REALLY be Foo Magazine, you aren't even potentially violating any trademarks. So, er, I have to go with a big "What?" |

If people need some inspiration (or just a lot of examples of magazines and what they put on their covers), remember that Amazon.com is selling a whole lot of magazine subscriptions now, and they have sample images. :->

I'm still wanting to know can a website address for an obscure magazine be included in the title? |

I am really not sure why there is so much confusion with this challenge. The way I read it, it is basically a free study. Take a photo of what you want to, and give it a magazine title it would be great for. There are no extra rules making text or any edits not in the current rules permissable.
There is nothing that says you have to leave space for the text were there to be any either. When a photographer takes a photo for a magazine, I am sure that the editors and graphic designers manipulate it after it is submitted. You are the photographer in this challenge. Not the graphic designer.

I completely agree with Karen. If someone votes down a photograph because they don't think it fits the actual magazines layout structure, they definitely have to much free time. |
