		Hi all,

Its nearly midnight here in Adelaide, Australia & I have just come home from my first ever fireworks shoot (a lot of places do a 9:30 fireworks display on new years eve, for those with littluns that need to go to bed..just like me!)

Below is one shot that I have been working for the last hour. This is the "off the lens" result (Well, cropped a bit):

Now, I am a total novice when it comes to photo shop, but I thought I would have a play to see if I could improve the fireworks, especially bring out the red.... This is what I have come up with so far:

This result is from playing with the Hue/Saturation & contrast only.

OK, what should I be doing to improve this image?

Cheers & happy new year!!! |

First time fireworks? Not bad, not bad at all. Would you be so kind as to post lens, and settings. About 18 hours till the Las Vegas fireworks, and I always have problems with getting pictures to come out.

& if you are after anymore tips (Hey, I thought I was the one after the critque.... ;-) ), I found turning noise reduction off was also a good step (didn't have to wait for the noise reduction processing to happen! Gave me much more time to shoot)
