Just wanted to throw out a HUGE thank you to my wife and mother-in-law.
I had to wait until after Christmas to come home from Okinawa Japan for my vacation, so my family waited on me to have our Christmas celebration. Well last night (Friday the 29th) I finally got to open my gifts and oh my I was so surprised. My wife and mother-in-law got me a new lens for my Oly.
I couldn't believe it, I totally did not expect that. My wife knew I had been dying to get something other than the kit lens I have, but she really didn't know what I wanted. Well she remembered that I had unsuccesfully tried to get one off of e-bay so she went into the history, found which one I wanted then did a search on Amazon. She found the 40-150 for I think it was $170!
I've only shot a few images inside to test it and am so excited about going out tomorrow and shooting. Hopefully I'll be able to pull of my idea for fences.
Only issue is that now I have to find a new Polarizer filter cause my old was 52mm and this one is 58mm...anyone know where I can find a step up ring for it?
btw...Happy New Year to everyone!!!

Your mother-in-law! The only thing my mother-in-law would give me is an ulcer and a drinking problem.
Congrats! |

You may want to get a 58mm polarizer, or other filter and buy a step down ring so you don't get vignetting. |
