Well, we just found out that my sister is 5 weeks pregnant. Very happy time indeed.
Now then, cananyone give any tips or suggest a web site as reference for documenting a pregnancy please?

I used to use MyFamily.com -- it is essentially private (you can invite family and friends), and has many group management tools -- for example, when you post a news item or pictures, it will automatically notify everyone on your member list. They specialize in family communications and geneology. I don't know for sure if you can join from South Africa though ... : (

Congratulations! If you get ultrasounds, be sure to have them snap off a few frames for you.

Congratulations to your sister (and you as a soon-to-be uncle) ! What a blessing!

American Pregnancy Associationis a GREAT site! I highly sugggest checking out their Forums for a cornucopia of information and advise, feedback and help/support from other soon to be, expecting and already moms!

Good luck!

I just noticed that you're in South Africa (is your sister currently located there as well?). I am not sure if you can join from South Africa, your sister can check. I still recommend perusing the site above and reading up on information from their bulletin boards and forums. This site is VERY useful!

Thank you for the suggestions and the well wishes. We are in South Africa, but will have a look.

Not sure about being an uncle, nobody asked me if I wanted the job....

BabyCenter is a great reference. You put in a due date and get weekly updates on the babies development/progress... it continues until after birth to give you basic things you can look for in the babies development and growth. My son is almost 2 and we've been getting updates since my wife was 3 months pregnant... Great resource!!!
