He's our nephew Dylan, my brother's son.

We really love the camera so far. It's similar in a lot of ways to the powershot. It was really easy to use because it's set up in the same way. Aperture and ISO are really easy to manipulate quickly. We were both really surprised by how quickly we got used to having to look through the viewfinder.

The lenses we got are fantastic. We'll have to post more pics later.

Rae-Ann, congrats to you as well on your new camera!

Congratulations to you with the new gadget. I can see the difference in your images already.
I am on for the WPL4, but it seems I'll be the "weakest link" around... :)

Im so glad our team is all hanging....but yes, now the new name is not as obvious....I do think we have quite a heads up this time tho...I'll look into it :)

Welcome to the craziness, crayon! I just double checked the WPL site, and signups for WPL4 start on Monday, January 1st. The actual tournament won't begin until all slots are full. I doubt that all of the slots will fill up in the first hour or anything, but it wouldn't be a bad idea for us to at least have a name by then so that we can be sure to get a spot. So let's get the brainstorming going! (Oh, yea...no ideas for a theme here, so I'll just throw out some really stupid ideas.)

Team MonkeyPants
The Martians (aka The Little Green Men and Women with Cameras)
Team Crayon!
Poop Ship Destroyers
Team Whatsacamera?
TeammaeT (just 'cause it looks cool)

or how about something unpronounceable, like the team formerly known as the Point and Shooters represented by some kind of symbol...

Hmm...yeah, kind of stupid! Something might work though, at least we can start from here. I can see how The Martians would lend itself to a pretty cool logo with little green people. Hmmm...

1. Signup submissions begins Monday, January 1, 2007
2. The signup period will continue until all 168-photographer slots and 24 team slots are full.
3. Signup submissions will be confirmed by sending your request to wpl@knology.net
4. The date and time of the signup email will be the determining factor on who signed up first. As stated above all signup submissions are on a first come â�� first serve basis.
