Pitsa! What did you do with your Fuji? I hope you still have it. I've been trying my best to beat the top two photographs taken with the Fujifilm 3800, both yours.
You can't stop submitting with the 3800 before I've had a chance to topple you off of your throne as 3800 king!

To tell you the truth,I fuji 3800 has some priority settings and better focusing that would be the top camera (for the money) of course!

So, Kosta, do you still like the 5050 on day 2 (or is it day 3?)?
Something I've noticed (not to do with settings) - in the instructions they tell you to attach the lens cap with the little string to the side strap. Anyway. I did this, and, when I took off the lens cap to take a picture, let it hang there. Well - a couple times as I walked on without immediately putting on the lens cap again, it bounced up and hit the lens!!!! I was terribly worried I'd damaged it (the lens, not the cap), and I think the potential is there for causing damage, so now I detached it from the side strap. I figure it's easier to replace a lens cap than to fix a damaged lens. Oh well. BTW - I love the night pictures you can take with this camera, like the two you show below. Good old Chicago. Great city. |

The new thing is, I can lower ISO number and decrease the shutter speed
:-) , that makes difference! Also super macro !

Congrats on the new cam Kosta. Welcome to the 5050 club. There are 2 things I don't like about the camera and about 100 that I do like. The P mode on that cam sucks. It can be cool to take some weird pictures, but for me, I've had nothing but bad luck with it. I rarely use it anyway so it doesn't really matter to me that much. And of course, I hate the shutter lag. So have you used the remote control yet? That's a pretty handy thing if you're doing still life shots by yourself. It's a helluva camera and I'm sure you'll get some great shots with it. Best of luck - Bob |

Very nice pictures pitsaman. Would love to be able to afford something like that. More or less post processing than with your other cam?
