On a lighter note...after seeing the DPC Xmas Poem, Kita sat down yesterday and wrote this poem. She has been hassling me since to put it in this thread for everyone...! So here goes.
An Aussie Christmas
It's Christmas eve
at the billabong.
The animals wake
to Kookaburra's song.
Brown snake hissed,
"let's get a tree.
Kangaroos selling them
for $1.23".
Cockatoo screeched,
"I'll get some gum.
My friend Koala
will lend me some".
Ms Funnelweb said
"How did you know
that I could make web
to look like snow?"
Kookaburra sung,
"I asked the moon.
He's bringing a star
and will be here soon".
When the sun had set
and it had become night.
They made vegemite sandwiches
and turned off the lights.
And when they wake up
they find presents all array.
Their friends all come over
and the celebrate Chrissie Day.
From all us Aussies...we wish you a Merry Christmas.

Yay, it's Christmas here in England - and I'm knackered! Definitely ready for bed, but I still have some essential wrapping to do first.
Happy Christmas everyone! |
