I'm looking for a book that'd suit my nan, who has very little experience with computers, to learn the basics of windows - using MS word, basic internet surfing, email etc. A nice simple, clear, step by step guide for all the fundamentals we take for granted.
Can anyone recommend a book for me?
Cheers,

The ..... for dummies series is generally pretty good, although I'm not sure if there is one for computers in general. |

The "Quick-Simple" guides are great. This one is for windows 98. I don't know if there's an XP version though. |

I've recommended books from this series to customers and they've learned alot and enjoyed themselves... Microsoft Windows XP (Step by Step series) |

I ditto the Dummies series. I have two Upgrading and repairing PC books.
One is by Scott Mueller and is about 1600 pages and Ialso have the "Upgrading and Repairing PC for Dummies" which is about 200 pages. I go to the dummy book first and usually find my answer quicker.
