Editable regions? What are you talking about? Personally I do not like Dreamweaver. I use HTML-Kit found at //www.html-kit.com. It is a free download and works great!

I have to use dreamweaver...my client uses it and wants to be able to edit on his own in the programs.. anyone else??

HTML is not program specific. If you make the pages in the suggested html-kit (which looks like a good one) program, your client will be able to see the same thing in the dreamweaver program.

You mean like inputs?

<.form action="process.php" method="post">
Name: <.input name="Name">
Shoe Size: <.input name="shoesize">
<./form>

(without the "." )

OK... I understand... since you are applying a template to existing pages, you will have to manually assign the editable regions to specific parts of the page.

For example, the main editable region will need to be assigned to body.

Editable regions are tags in Dreamweaver applied to templates. They allow Dreamweaver to know which parts of a page based on a template are editable. Has nothing to do with forms or being able to edit from a web browser.

How many pages is it? You may have to create the templates and then manually paste the sections into the new pages. It's a pain, but for some site recreation jobs it's just something you have to do.

hmmm... it's wierd that they aren't working. Those pages have editable tags in them...

OK, here is an idea... save one of these pages as a template and then make the changes to it then apply the template to the rest of the pages.
