So I tried something new today, I felt like shooting and wanted some stock/business stuff, so I headed to the studio....but I really wanted to do something different. So, I shook up the lighting and processing a bit and wondered how it hits you guys. Too much? Funky and fun? Dull and dumb?

I collaged a few because my portfolio space is painfully full. :)

Cindi...I love the ideas...the poses..everything is great...but the lighting is just not clean...it is not only not your usual style...but it just isn't inviting.

I think it is too contrasty and yellow...does that make sense?

I like them all together - the transition of the smiley on-the-phone person to the computer-throwing crazed lady combined with the extreme going-postal woman with the machine gun spraying bullets into her office is just great -

I almost thing a flip-book type thing might be good. I apologize if I got too enamored by the way they are together but stock photo stuff is just that y'know!? ...

Wait- that machine-gun bit was in my imagination -- "down imagaination DOWN"!!

Just left you this comment on your collage, which I might add, is just triffic, IMO.....

I love this series, and some amazing images here sweet girl.
Gee your quite the looker, and quite the professional as well.....
Top stuf IMO.....
I love the lighting, and the soft apricot colortones you have achieved, as it gives it a warm glow.....

OK - I get what you're going for - a higher contrast, stylized feeling - -
Shifting the red around a bit and playing with color balance might alter to mood here. I dig it - I think office stuff gets a bit boring and it needs a bit of an edge to it.
And, of course, a machine-gun ;]

Forget the machine gun, use a water pistel instead.....

Ok, that set was all processed with the same filter, one I love and am tempted to make it my signature look (for clients) cause its so warm - but was afraid it might be just me lol

So glad to get some opinions on it.

Here is the original set without the filter.

And yes, I suffer from multiple personality disorder when I'm in the studio! :)

LMAO That's a good idea, Skip!

anytime ;-)

btw, for stock, i'd stick with the 2nd version. also, i don't know how much of the cropping is due to fotofusion, and how much is due to your in-camera framing, but i imagine you'll find more saleability in with images that give the art director the most flexibility in choosing a crop, as opposed to framing too tightly (cutting off arms, leaving little headspace, etc).

good luck, keep having fun!

Thanks, Skip. None are cropped in the original versions, its PhotoFusion that's cropped them for the collage. I'm going to upload both versions of them, I think, giving the buyers choices.
