This entry had a fair number of 1's, 2's and 3's and lots of comments taking issue with the butterfly being a pet.
Well, to the one's who scored it low and gave it a "1" for DNMC...don't you feel stupid! *ha*
In this case the photographer does have actual proof that it was a pet. And that it was a valid entry. (They have pupae/puppy photos.)
:P
And yeah, I'm calling all those who voted it a "1" simply because it was a butterfly stupid. Because they called  greatandsmall a liar. I really wish people would give a bit more benefit of the doubt and grace to us photographer's that we're making an honest effort in our entries and stop calling us liars. In the purple challenge I got criticized and claimed for having simply hue adjusted but I did not hue adjust. I used flourescent lighting, a purple background and a bluish/purple snake. But was assumed a liar...
Anyways, nice shot GreatAndSmall and cute story behind it all as well.

I almost started a thread on this as well. Being one of the people who played in the 30 days of Pet portraits I knew immediatley what this was a picture of - but I also knew it was gonna get hit hard for DNMC. In the end I was happy to see Poly X in her final form and there was no better place for greatandsmall to show her off in full glory.
