I'm in the market for a 19 inch Widescreeen LCD. What are the important features to look for, keeping photo editing in mind of course?
Also, my computer has a DVI port only; so if I buy an analog monitor, are there adapters that can make the connection work? |

I would recommend a 20" widescreen LCD. They run a slightly higher resolution (1680x1050 vs. 1400x900) and are quickly becoming the standard.
I use a Samsung 204BW on my desk at work and I have to say that I am very happy with it.
Edit to answer DVI question: They make adapters that are easy to find.

just make sure it isn't a TN panel -they're 6bit panels = 18bit colour (some manufactures do a little magic to produce 16.2 million colours but its not true 24bit 16.7mil)
the 204BW is a TN panel..
