does anyone know the largest memory card this camera will support, im pretty sure it will support 4gb sandisk, just want to make sure. thanks

bump, still havent found out, manual says has been tested up to 2gb. does anyone know if 4gb cards will work

I did not know the answer but I had a hunch on how to find it. Newegg.com is a useful resource. I found a commonly reviewed 4GB SD card and read the reviews. It would seem that many people use the RiDATA PRO 4GB card and most of them are happy. I found several Canon users with cameras ranging from a S3 IS to several SD550s, and all seem to be happy using their 4GB card. So I would assume that the successor to the SD550 would have no problem with the big cards.

Note: Just make sure you format it correctly.

thank you, i do know that the newer models sd800 and sd900 support 4gb high density memory cards, i read that, but couldnt find anything on mine.
