| does anyone know the largest memory card this camera will support, im pretty sure it will support 4gb sandisk, just want to make sure. thanks |

| bump, still havent found out, manual says has been tested up to 2gb. does anyone know if 4gb cards will work |

I did not know the answer but I had a hunch on how to find it. Newegg.com is a useful resource. I found a commonly reviewed 4GB SD card and read the reviews. It would seem that many people use the RiDATA PRO 4GB card and most of them are happy. I found several Canon users with cameras ranging from a S3 IS to several SD550s, and all seem to be happy using their 4GB card. So I would assume that the successor to the SD550 would have no problem with the big cards.
Note: Just make sure you format it correctly. |

| thank you, i do know that the newer models sd800 and sd900 support 4gb high density memory cards, i read that, but couldnt find anything on mine. |
