Finally came unstuck with my Brown and it's in. (Hmmm, not sure I like the way that sounds, but I'll stick with it) In any event, my entries for this week are complete.

It should be quite a contest, no matter WHO wins the other game, the Underexposed or the Outcasts.

Of course, we haven't heard a peep from the Buzzards we're playing this week. Wonder how they're doing...just adds to the suspense of the Play-offs, I guess.

Wow....my first vote was a 4. then it was at a 5.3...then I decided I was going to ignore it for the entire week....then I got curious...I'm glad I checked it. I thought it would do better....but |'m happy with what it's at now....just a .09 more and I'll be EXCITED! please voters?!?

I will totally enter the open challenge...not sure what one yet...but I will...our team rocks! (you know what's funny...my college football team can't make it to the playoffs...maybe that's why I'm so excited WE can!)

Congratulations, Tate, on your fabulous Dirt score, you had some fearsome competition at that level. We are all hitting above our averages and doesn't it feel good.

Glad to hear you are already in the 6 column with your Sticky entry Tate, and looks as if Lisa has a chance at a 6 as well.

Has anyone heard from Caleb? I haven't seen anything from

stare_at_the_sun for quite a little while now. Hope everything is okay with him.

Meanwhile, as Tate says, it's neverending. Time to get to Occupation. (I'm retired; free study? )

I was wondering the same thing - he hasn't entered a challenge in a while.

You should send him a PM captain and find out what he's up to. If he can't participate anymore maybe we should hold a casting for a new member.

Hey, Jeff. Let's get a little competition going. It looks as if it's "Smurf or Steele" for the last 6 spot in this week's race in the WPL playoffs. Your For Sale was in at 5.90 a day or so ago, and mine was 5.95. Mine's still teetering around the 6 mark; how's yours doing?

And have any of our team mates who haven't already scored in the sixes caught up?

Well, I guess that's up to the voters... It doesn't say anything about it in the challenge description, but I fear a lot of the voters might consider it DNMC if the brown solely comes from toning (but you never know). Personally I go for an image that's brown without toning...

Something clever - something that would be brown anyway - or maybe even something that is globally desat'd in areas to reveal something that may or may not have been brown anyway. DOes that make any sense? Either way, the texture, lighting and initial impact of the photo counts a great deal - and then there's memorable images that just have something special to then - OK I'm late and babbling!
God luck. The best brown on DPC was on COlor on COlor IMO

This is so great - it's just about the highest benchmark one could set - but I just think it's both memorable and .. brown

Awww, Jeff, I was hoping for a tie! But you've got more comments.

Regarding color shifting, this thread has a lot of pros and cons on the subject. Of course, this is back when not too many people knew how to do the process. I still enjoy the "pink by slider" dozer image, even though normally, I'd rather get the color in the camera. Sometimes ya just can't.

If we didn't already have the perfect name, I'd start calling us the "OverAchievers". Fantastic scores folks. With those nice Pet scores (giorgio, 6.50! Woof! - or Meow!) our Team could be on the front page again!

And Lisa, two scores over six, back to back. Wow. My Sticky is stuck in the 5.75 area but I still have hopes it'll get higher.

It's gonna be a loong ride from here on in!

I was going to submit to either Brown of Pink Floyd, but ended up with too little of time. I do have a good idea for occupation though...I hope to get that done and out of the way soon.

Well, my great idea in Brown didn't meet with the best execution... but at least it's in there. =) It's my only hope this week, as I couldn't get "un-Stuck" in the other challenges.
