It reminds me joey, subtract the grunge. I was wondering if anyone else has perfected this technique or knows how to do it? Im interested in trying it out. It appears as though the photographer edit every inch of pixle of skin and every tone, and applied some heavy unsharp masks.
Im not sure though?
anyone else have any ideas? |

I think I see neat image and aggressive sharpening. I donno though.
Have you ever tried "high pass" filtration for sharpening? IN photoshop, at the top of the standard filters list, last of the first group, "other/high pass". Copy the base layer, apply high pass to it, and fade it in and out in overlay mode. The high pass is very adjustable as to how aggressive you want it to be. Watch out for haloing.

You can also get that plasticy skin look from emphasizing your whites:
Selective color>white>shift the black bar to the left
That, and there's some desat going on... |

I think he uses shadhow/highlight too(the photog you linked to).
not the greatest exanple. but that;s what i did here.
