I finally got an issue of the January Popular Photography Magazine and find that my "Flight" was 1st Runner-up in the Travel Section of their 2006 Readers Photography Contest! It's really exciting and quite an honor to see my photo published. For those of you who don't have the magazine, this is the shot -

There's nothing quite like the feeling of opening a national publication and seeing your work/name in it, is there. That rush will stick with you for a while too. If you can get a second copy, carefully cut the page(s) out and mat them and get them mounted in a frame. (be sure to use U/V filtering glass/lexan or they will fade in about 5 years - btdt)

| I saw that a week ago Bill and have been meaning to send you kudos. I can't tell you how fine it made ME feel to open that mag and see one of "our" photographers featured in there. You made me proud for us all! |

That is one of DPC's most recognized photos so no surprised seeing it get it's due elsewhere. Congrats.
