I've only heard whispered fables of such things as DPC get-togethers in meatspace, but I thought I'd mention that meetup.com has a 'Digital Cameras' and a 'Photography' gathering, if any folks here other than me are interested in meeting people in their area who are into such things. (Meetup.com does a lot of the hooking-together process for such gatherings, helping a disparate group of people choose a venue, scheduling, and so on, without everyone having to have personal contact info for each other). It is a free site, though they have a paid version with a few more features.

| Meetup.com is neat. I'll give it that. But All the meetups in my area get canceled every month becuase not enough people sign up. So I guess you have to live in Dallas, or Chicago, or Philly. Lower MI just isn't very popular, I guess. lol |

Well, the more people you get to sign up, the more likely they are to happen. :-> They got a massive hit in membership when slashdot found out about them, and another when livejournal did.
