maybe paired with another diptych challenge, such as: day/night, tall/short, or just a "double meanings" diptych...

This would be fun, I had an idea awhile back to do a triptych, but you had to use sequencial photos to make it more of a challenge. Also if you create a specific challenge description you have a better chance of beng chosen since it just goes into the database and less work to get ready for the site. :)

I like the idea of a "double meaning" diptych. Have a normal challenge topic, one image has one interpretation of the challenge topic. The other, although possibly related in theme, has quite another interpretation of the challenge.
It would really open the box thinking of shots for that one.
