is that teleconverter 58mm? if it is.. it might be the one i tested at the local camera store on my 58mm f717 :) and boy did it cause alot of chromatic abherration.. to the point of being unusable.. i guess it wasn't made for anything other than the canon camera..

Yes it is the 58mm. I haven't had any problem with chromatic aberation. As you say, maybe it works best with a Canon camera. Who knows?
